Quran
The Quran is the holy book for 1.5 billion Muslims around the world. This is a book that was revealed in the Arabic language by Allah (God) to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through angel Jibreel (Gabriel). Contrary to belief the Quran was not revealed in one time or setting. Rather it was revealed over a period of about 23 years in Mecca and Medina. It is a complete guide from Allah (God) how to live one’s life and to be successful in this world and hereafter. This book is very dear to Muslims and the message of this book is in the hearts of every Muslim and there are millions of Muslims around the world who have memorized the entire Quran. This is a holy book that has not changed in its fourteen hundred years because Allah (God) takes it upon himself to guard the book. In the Quran Allah say "Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran and indeed, We will be its guardian" [Chapter 15, Verse 9].
